Can I set not to print detail section for null value?

Can I skip detail section (or group header) printing if details (or group
column) value is null? I am printing client transaction report and report is
grouped by clientid. But for some clients I dont have any transaction but I
do want opening balance for the client. How can I avoid printing of details?

my quesry is like this:

select clients.clientid, clients.name, clients.address, trx.trxdate,
trx.quant
from clients left outer join trx on tx.clientid = clients.clientid
order by clients.clientid, trx.trxdate

output of query is:

00001 Client1 100 Main St. Fake City, YY-00000 1/1/2004 100
00001 Client1 100 Main St. Fake City, YY-00000 1/17/2004 150
00002 Client2 200 Main St. Real City, ZZ-99999 null
null
00003 Client3 900 Main St. No City, XX-11111 2/5/2004 200

My report should look like:

Client1 100 Main St. Fake City, YY-00000 Opening Bal: 500
1/1/2004 100
1/17/2004 150

Closing Bal: 750

Client2 200 Real City, ZZ-99999 Opening Bal: 225

Closing Bal: 225

Client1 900 Main St. No City, XX-11111 Opening Bal: 0
2/5/2004 200

Closing Bal: 200

Is it possible without subreport?

Thanks for looking into it.

No! If your tables are designed correctly you should have a one-to-many
relationship between the patient table and patient transactions table. Your
report should be a main report grouped on Patient with a subreport for to
list the trabsactions.
