Can i set 2 profiles to use the same pst file?

I use Outlook at work and at home, with the same accounts, but with different
connection settings (smtp servers, mostly).
I could create different profiles for work/home, but i'd like to
view/receive/send all my emails regardless of the profile i use.

Is this possible (one pst file for both profiles), or would the two profiles
keep different emails in different pst files?

Initial gut reaction is that 2 Outlook profiles that use the same PST file
should be fine.
