Can I run two soundcards on an Asus board?

Using Asus P4C800E Deluxe and running an Audigy 2ZS. Win XP Pro

For complicated reasons having to do with voice recognition software, I
would like to also install a Soundblaster Live card so that I can use
one for dictating and the other for listening.

Will this create problems?

TIA

FWIW--
I don't really know about two sound cards, however, I do know
that if one has two USB microphones, a USB speaker and a sound card, this
will work under Windows 2000. One
just has to select in the software program which USB microphone
to use (can also select the sound card microphone input, thus 3
choices) and whether to use the USB speaker or the sound card speaker. I
have not tried to see whether two sound cards will work.
Good luck.

Not sure about XP, but if you have two SB cards under Win2K Pro, the
default drivers will blue-screen Windows. I am running a pair of SB
Live value cards using KX project drivers from
<http://www.kxproject.com>. This setup has been stable on two different
motherboards - neither have been Asus but I would expect it to work.
Be aware that the KX drivers are aimed at musicians and expose a great
deal of the internal capabilities of the cards but are missing a few of
the gamer-oriented features.
