My second hard drive is not being recognized in My Computer or Disk
Management, however it does show in BIOS and under Device Manage. I am
running XP. I have tried recovery software to no avail so at this point I
just want to reformat but don't know if it is possible. any suggestions would
be greatly appreciated. Chris

All drive mfgs have a DOS utlity that will format the drive, download
it,install
to a DOS formatted floppy, then in BIOS,select floppy as 1st boot device.

Run diskmgmt.msc, then repartition and format your disk.
