I want to be able to play a PP presentation on a high def TV. My first
thought is to convert it to a .vob format or something similar to play as a
movie on a DVD player. Is there a simple way to do this or something similar?

You can convert your PP presentation to DVD fisrt, and then you would
be able to see it on a DVD player.
As it how to convert your PP presentation to DVD.
You can use a professional converting tool for help.
I recommend the Wondershare PPT2DVD.
Works perfectly. Easy to use but with a high quality.
More information you can go to

Or you can download a free trial version first.

I recommend to read this: http://pptfaq.com/FAQ00156.htm

Suggetions for software you may get here are often from employees of the
developer. So be careful and test the suggested software with your
presentations.

Let's stay honest and say that this an advertisement (or spam) from
Wondershare, the developer of this software.

As everyone can see by "X-HTTP-Via: 1.1 WONDERSHARE1"
