Can I outline a font with a different color than the font color?

I have a multi-color background and I want to use white font with black
edges. I have seen it used before but am not sure if it is a special font or
some setting requirement.

Try "Shadow" which is usually found right next to the underline button. Font
color is usually found on the bottom formating bar. If not there, try
highlighting the text and clicking "format" on the main menu.

You cannot add an outline to text in PowerPoint. Try using WordArt for the
outlined effect. Works well for a few words or simple phrases.

Alternately, you can create your outlined text in another program (such as
Photoshop) and save as a .png file for importing into PowerPoint. More work
for editing, but great for key words and phrases.

Thanks! The shadowing I have tried and does not yield the results I am
looking for. Thanks for your response.
