Can I insert a filename when I insert a picture into word?

When I insert a picture into a word document, I want to automatically insert
the file name above it in a caption.

That really isn't easy, unfortunately :)

Please tell me how you are inserting the picture (EXACTLY how...) and what
file type(s) you are using.

We need to help you write a macro to trap the file name and insert it in the
caption. It can be done, but I need to know exactly how you work.

If you reply, drop me a copy of your reply by email: I am not in this group
often, so it may be months before I get back to see your reply.

Oh: And don't include anything but plain text in your email :) No
attachments or fancy formatting, or my spam filter will kill the email :)

Cheers
