Can I import an image of a Word document

I want to copy a document (containing a simple table) with all it's
formatting onto a slide. Is there any way of doing this other than copying
and pasting from Word to Powerpoint. Can I import and carry over the
formatting.

Alaine,
Basically copy and paste is the way to go. The other way would be to use
Insert - Object - choose from file - browse - select your Word file - click
OK. Here you could use the link paste checkbox allowing you to update the
table in Word and have it automatically update in PowerPoint.
Or you could link to the Word file from any object on your slide using
action settings. Just right-click the object, choose action settings, next
'to hyperlink to' choose other file, browse and select. That would require
you to click on the object during slide show, Word would start and show the
file as is. So here you have the choice to either show the file or not.
Just my two cents...

Dear Alanine,

You could convert your Word doc to a PDF then copy and paste an image of the
doc into PPT.
