Is there any way to extract an audio file from a pps that I received so that
I can use it in another presentation?

If you have PowerPoint (not the free Viewer) start it up, choose File, Open and
browse to your PPS.

Then choose File, Save As Web Page and make sure it saves as HTML and not
single file (MHT) format.

That will create an HTML file in the folder you specify and a subfolder with
all kinds of stuff in it. The sound files will be amongst the rubble <g>

Thank you it worked great.
