Can I Extract Alias and Email Address from Global Address List

Hello All

I am an end user of Outlook 2000 in a corporate environment (Exchange 5.5).
I would like to extract the Outlook alias and the corresponding email
address from a Global Address List so that I end up with a list that is
formatted like so: alias,email address

Then list would then appear like this
jjohnson,[email protected]
msmith,[email protected]

Is there a way for me to do this in Outlook (I've tried and haven't had any
luck), or are there any tools available to create such a list?

See if the methods listed at http://www.slipstick.com/exs/portagal.htm suit
your needs. If not you would have to write custom code to extract the
entries in the GAL and place them in a text file.

Thanks for this information, it looks as though there are some possibilities
on the web page you suggested. Are there any resources for a beginner to
learn about coding in order to extract information aliases and email
addresses from distribution lists?
