Can I embed a video file in a presentation?

I am curious if anyone knows how to embed video files into a Powerpoint
presentation.

I already know how to get the file to be attached, but the actual video (a
..wmv file) must be accessible by the computer in order to play it - it is a
link, not embedded.

I want to be able to post my presentation with the video in tact and
attached.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks. So, how would I go about creating a presentation that is accessible
by other people who may not have access to the specific videos I want to
include?

You cannot give access to videos if you do not give people access to those
videos.

If you include your videos along with your presentation and make BOTH
available then other people can view everything.

The trick is to put your video files in the same folder as your .ppt file
BEFORE you insert > movie > from file
