Can I download and display an RSS feed in a presentation?

I'm working on creating a "Good Morning" presentation to wake-up to when I go
off to college that will do a few things, one of these being displaying the
latest news from over night.

How can I pull in RSS/XML from a website and display it in Powerpoint? I'm
guessing I should use a macro and then run that when I open my presentation
up to download the latest data. Any suggestions.

(I am NOT interested in any type of add-on unless it is free.)
