Can I customize options for the appearance of tracked changes?

I've gone to "options" under "tools," but the appearance of deletions,
insertions, etc. are limited in the drop-down menu. I want deletions to have
a double-strikethrough and insertions to be bold italicized, but neither of
those options are offered. Is it possible to customize the options, or am I
limited to what's in the drop-down menu?

Sorry, that isn't customizable.

If you must have some other formatting for printing, it would be possible to
write a macro to replace the tracked changes with specially formatted text
(preferably by applying a custom character style). However, in that copy of
the document they would no longer be tracked changes, just specially marked
text; you wouldn't have the ability to accept or reject these changes except
by removing them manually (or by another macro).
