can i copy copyrighted dvd's legally?

i realize that copyright means that i can't but there is
software that alows me to copy them is this legal?

you copy downloaded videos of the net?

No, Thats illegal. You dont OWN it. Go buy it and dont pirate it.
 
In one word.....No.

Think of copyrighting in this way:
If it were a book and not a dvd....you buy a book...you
can give it away or sell it legally...but if you were to
make a copy of it you would have two books and selling
the copy, giving the copy away, and even making the copy
would be a copyright infringement....thus illegal.
The owner could seek damages and/or have you arrested for
criminal charges.
I hope this puts it in a better light for you.
 
nope, the DMCA is unclear about fair use. unless you know something about
law (doesnt sounds like you do) i would not put anything llike that.
