can I copy and access .pst files from a CD

I would like to copy or move .pst files off my hard drive onto CD's that I
can access from outlook if I need to. Can and how do I do this?
 
You can put it on a RW disc.

My laptop is backed up on the server and I have limited storage capacity
assigned. I would like to save old emails for future reference on alternate
media than my hard drive so I can meet the backup size.
 
I have limited storage available on the server that backups up my laptop. I
want to save email files for future reference and they occupy 10 gigs of hard
drive space. I need a alternate storage media source.
