Can I compose an email in outlook 2003 trial version?

trial verion has a bunch of unusable features do i have to by the product to
compose email

Did you try? That seems to me to be the quickest way to answer your
question.
 
If the trial period has expired, yes, you'll need to purchase the product to use the features.
