CAN I CHANGE ANSI TO ENGLISH

I have suddenly lost my word document I then located it and found that it was
in ansi or unicode I do not know which one now I want ot know if i can change
it back into an english document this is urgent because i have to use it
tomorro and I do not think I have enough time to start over someone pls help
