Can I build a calendar from a query?

Here is what I am trying to do. It's very simple, just don't know if I can
do it in Access:
I work in a department that conducts seminars throughout the year. We have
the dates set for next year's seminars, and I would like to create a calendar
in Access that will mark the dates (on an annual calendar) for when we have
to do a certain task in preparation for upcoming seminars. Confusing? Let
me explain:

I have built a table with Seminar Names & Seminar Dates that looks like this:
Estate Planning Seminar 2/18/2008
PGA Seminar 3/12/2008
Field Advisory Board 4/9/2008

totalling to about 12 seminars. I then built a query, where it calculates
important dates. we have mailings and such that we do while preparing for
each seminar, so my query tells me the date for:
120 days before the seminar start date
95 days before the seminar start date
90 days before
75 days before, etc., etc.

My query is very simple and works great - but I was hoping to put this in a
calendar. I want the calendar to list at least 12 months on one page, and
have certain dates for each seminar either color coded or marked somehow
within the calendar. I would then build a key to show us what each
color/code/symbol stands for. Since we have so many seminars, we are
working on more than one in any given month, so each month would mark several
days, for several different seminars, meaning we need to complete several
different tasks.

What we do each year is basically the same, meaning that the 'key' would
never change. I would think this could all be done automatically from year
to year, by running a report of some sort after I update the next year's
seminar dates.

Is this possible? Or am I using Access for the wrong purpose??

I appreciate your help. You are all great! I use the discussion groups
constantly and find this website very helpful! Kudos to all of you! :)

Look forward to your response.

I can't even view the web link you sent me. It is giving me an error and it
appears that I don't have the Flex Grid Control loaded/available. I am
working from Access 2007 from home - although at work we use Access 2002.

Any advice??

Thanks again!

Try this link http://www.rogersaccesslibrary.com/index.htm
Click on Other Developers Libraries and find my name in the list. You
should see the Flex Grid link there. I have not tried this demo on
Access 2007 so I don't know if it will work OK, although it should.
The download includes the control with instructions on how to use it.

Good luck.
