Can I autopopulate powerpoint slides with charts and graphs? I have a
database that is regularily updated with market research data. I want to have
a standard powerpoint presentation with charts and graphs that can be updated
from the data rather than recreated each time

Not sure if this is the cleanest way of doing but I do something
similar.

I use excel to query the data I want to display.
You can either use Data -> Import External Data or Data ->PivotTable
and PivotChart Wizard. It will depend on your data which is best.

Import External Data: In this method you can query the tables to import
the data required. You will need the ODBC drivers to link to your data.
Once you have setup the ODBC to the data you can query the import of
this data. Once the data is imported you can generate the charts.

PivotChart Wizard: Again you will need to setup the ODBC drivers to
link to the data but you can generate the charts without importing the
data.

In either case, once you have the data in a chart form you can select
the chart and paste the link to Powerpoint. This can way you need only
change the data in excel and refresh your slides.

Does this help?

into a chart form and than I link the chart to a slide.
