Can DBF links cause corruption

Does anyone know if linking a .dbf to an access database can cause
corruption in the .mdb. I have several links to seperate dbf's, and there are
alot of requests back and forth.

My .mdb is getting corrupted roughly 2 times a day for the past week. In the
past 4-5 years, I have only had to repair maybe 5 times. So, there is
something that has changed, but I can't place it. I have looked at Tony Toews
suggestions, plus several other web sites, but have had no luck.

Please help!!

The 2 main reasons for corruption are users that turn of a process during a
write, usually by turning off the machine with an open form, or bad
hardware, usually a bad NIC card that's dropping packets. While all files
can corrupt, Access is particularly vulnerable because of large file sizes.
If you have a new user, or one with an unreliable machine, that's the first
place to look.

Also, repairs sometimes import partial corruption. Try building a new
database, and importing all the opjects one at a time.
