Can completed tasks disappear in OL Today view?

Is there a way to have completed tasks disappear once
they're checked off, in the Outlook Today view? I have a
huge list of tasks, but as I complete them, I still have
a huge list of grayed-out tasks with active ones
scattered throughout.

Thanks for any help!

Dave

Under view go to current view and then define views and
create a new view. Once created go to view, current view
and this view. This will bring up a window. Choose
filters and set a filter for status not equal complete.
