can anyone help me with this??

hello all.
I am hoping that someone in this vast pool of Excel knowledge might be able
to help me with this problem.

This list shown below in blue....

is just a small part of a very, very long list on my company's website. I
take this list and
convert it to a mobileDB file for use on palm pilot PDA's.
This list is over a hundred pages long and each page starts with the header
you see above in Red.
After copying the entire list from the website, I usually pasted it into
excel, and then have to MANUALLY
scroll thru this massive list to remove the header, and collapse the list.
It is a royal pain in the butt.
After that is done, I use the text to columns command, save it as a CSV
file, and export it to MobileDB-PC

Here's my question. Is there anyway to automate the process of finding
these headers, deleting them, and collapsing
the list so that it is one continuous result without any of these headers
remaining??

thanks for any help you can offer

A simple way is to set up a filter. From your snippet of data I would
suggest the 5th column, using a Custom filter for "Does not contain"
then ANC- or "Does not begin with" and ANC-. Alternatively, a custom
filter on the 8th column for "Does not contain" a full-stop. Or you
could try the 3rd column, looking for blanks OR "Flt No" (I'm not sure
if your row of hyphens is all in column A).

Glen,

Select the appropriate column identifier to highlight the complete
column, then Data | Filter | Autofilter (check) to apply the filter to
only one column, all the way down. Then choose the appropriate filter
for that column.

The rows displayed are the ones you want to get rid of, although you
might want to keep the first headers. Click on the row identifier of
the first row you want to delete in order to highlight it, then hold
the SHIFT key down and press END once followed by the Down-Arrow, then
release SHIFT. This will have highlighted all the rows, then Edit |
Delete Row. From the filter pull-down select All, and then you will
have your data all bunched up. You might want to do Data | Filter |
Autofilter (uncheck) to remove the filter entirely.

A much simpler operation than deleting them manually.

Hope this helps.
