Can anybody help me???

My roommates and I have four computers networked through
a router and we also share our cable internet. There are
two comps. running XP and two Macs. The Macs can see us
on the network just fine, but both machines running XP can
only see themselves. For the brief time one could see the
other, they said they didn't have permission. We would
also like to play some games over this network, Starcraft
for example, but that doesn't work either. can anyone help
us?? We're getting kinda pissed off that this doesn't
work. We've screwed with quite a few things, but we
honestly don't know what's going on. So tell us EVERYTHING
you think could help!! Thnx.
