Is it considered normal behavior for windows xp to ask for permission or to
try to make a connection to "tbc3.hanged.tk [68.187.230.6] using remote port
6667.

I got this message after my first installation of Sygate. I have read here
that Internet Explorer never asks to try to make a connection to the
internet, so just wondered why windows was doing this.

Sygate gives this further information about this.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\svcnet.exe (that was the file description.
C:\WINDOWS\system32\svcnet.exe (file pathway)

If any expert could tell me if this is normal or could be some normal
application wanting to get access then I would be very appreciateive.

I wouldn't allow it access to the internet. That domain is for some country
called Tokelau.

That IP is registered to Charter Communications.

Tokelau ! what the heck is that?
Check out this link about svcnet.exe:

It does sound a bit strange! I am having run spybot, adaware, and AVG and
they all return a negative response so I'm now downloading etrust in the
home that it can spot something.
