Can a Logitech Wheel Mouse Cause Text Distortion?

J

When I use the up arrow on the scroll bar to scroll through even one page of
text, when I stop I see lines that appear to have been typed twice.
This happens every day in Word documents. It does NOT happen in Works or
Wordpad documents.
When I use the mouse wheel to scroll (or pull the scroll bar as fast as I
can) through Word documents, it does NOT happen.
I'm having fits trying to identify the cause of this annoying problem. (Yes,
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Word.)
Could the Logitech Wheel Mouse have anything to do with it?
If so, how might it be reconfigured to correct the problem?

Try either updating the mouse drivers from Logitech's site or the video
drivers from the card mftr.'s site. Do one and see if that works.

I have updated the video drivers more than once--and even tried swapping in
a different video card.
I will see about the mouse drivers, however.
Could a mouse cause the text display problem I'm describing?

Possibly. Of course, stating in your first post that you'd already
updated your video drivers/card would have been more helpful. However,
if everything works well in other apps, as you mentioned in your first
post, the answer might be in some settings in Word. You might do better
to ask the Word experts in one of the MS Office groups. This newsgroup
is for the operating system and while many people reading the group may
use Office, the chances of your finding someone with the same problem
aren't as great as in a Word group. Here is a link to a list of all the
MS newsgroups:
