Eric

I just installed XP Pro and I'm looking for a CALENDER.
My 98 had a calender called microsoft works. Thank you.

Microsoft WORKS is a separate program. See the nearest
computer store, two versions;
WORKS 7.0 basic about $50-60 and WORKS SUITE with WORD
included about $100.

You had Microsoft Works, which is a suite of prgrams, not
just a calendar. Re-install your Works software

There's a great great free calendar from mozilla. You need to have
either Netscape 7.1 or Mozilla 1.6 or Firefox installed first.
Just install on of the browsers, then go to
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/download.html
and install the correct calendar for the browser you've selected.
Then create a shortcut on your desktop to the browser. Right click and
select "Properties." Then, at the end of the target line, after the ",
type a space and then -calendar. This will launch only the calendar.
From the dowload page for the calendar, you can also subscribe to
calendars like US Hollidays and religious holidays.

Microsoft Works is not a calendar. It's a program containing many
functions, *including* a calendar.

Microsoft Works doesn't come with Windows XP and it didn't come
with Windows 98 either. In fact, *no* version of Windows has ever
included it, or any other significant application software. the
reason you had Works on your 98 system was that the vendor you
bought it frompackaged works as part of what he sold you.

There is no calendar in Windows XP. You can buy a copy of
Microsoft Works or some other program which includes a calendar.
or you can download one of the many free calendars availanle; do
a google search.
