Calender time converts to GMT time in reminder

On the calender I enter 8:15-10:00 AM --Mountain Standard time.

I am Mtn Savings Time w/ no daylight saving time observed used in this area.

Twenty minutes prior to the appointment, I receive a notice in my e-mail
Inbox showing the appointment time as being 3:15-5:00 GMT(Greenwich Meridian
Time)
I don't want GMT time.

My computer time (bottom right corner of screen) shows current time--
RockyMtn.

check the settings on the application that is sending the reminders.
(Outlook doesn't send such reminders on it's own.)
