Calender in Outlook 2002

my calender give my some symbols instead of English, this is what it shows in my calender "?????//????", can anyone help me on this?
 
it is because your entries is created with different character-set, e.g., Chiniese.

I am working in a English speaking environment, there is no chinese language involved in the process, is there anywhere in the outlook to do some sort of encoding?
