I suppose you could add a calendar control from the control toolbar, but
what is it for? You may be able to achieve what you want with less

The document template is a test report which needs to contain a date of birth
for the person undergoing the test and the date of the test. Instead of
typing in the date, I was hoping to insert a calender pop up like on the
airline reservation sites for dates of departure and return.
