Yes, Gordon, it does (well, sort of). I think she's referring to the one in
the time/date applet - that cannot be displayed on the desktop, but I'm sure
there are 100s, if not 1000s, of freeware or shareware applications that
offer just such a functionality.
It sits in Systray in place of windows clock. Among many other things,
one click on it brings up a calendar and you can cycle through teh
months and years.
