Hi Alabama,
Thanks for posting.
From your post, I understand your concern is
You cannot keep the customized "Time scale" setting in the Calendar. When
you set it to 15 minutes, it rolls back to 30 minutes after next opening.
If I am off base, please feel free to let me know.
I suggest we first test the following steps for this issue:
Step 1: Start Outlook in Safe Mode
----------------------
Please run Outlook in Safe Mode to bypass any Add-Ins:
- Close Outlook.
- Click Start-->Run, type "Outlook /Safe" (Quotation marks are not included
and there is a space between Outlook and /safe) and press Enter.
If the problem does not occur at this time, then please select Tools ->
Options -> Other -> Advanced Options -> Add-In Manager and then clear all
the checkboxes, add one check back each time to the list of Add-In, restart
Outlook, and repeat the above procedure. Once the issue reappears again, we
can determine which add-in causes this problem and then disable it.
If the issue persists, we can narrow down that the issue is not caused by
some third party add-ins, we can go on to the steps below:
Step 2: Reset the default views
---------------------
1. Close Outlook.
2. Click Start -> Run.
3. Input the following command to reset the view settings
Outlook /cleanviews
4. Restart Outlook and test the issue again.
If the issue persists, let's go on to Step 3:
Step 2: Create a new Outlook profile
----------------------
I suspect the current profile of Outlook has been corrupted. Please perform
the following steps to create a new profile:
1. Close Outlook.
2. Click Start menu-> Control Panel. If Control Panel is not in Classic
View, click Switch to Classic View on the upper left of the window. And
then double-click the Mail icon.
3. Click Show Profiles and then click Add. In the New Profile dialog box,
type a descriptive name for the new profile in the Profile Name box, and
then click OK.
4. In the E-mail Accounts dialog box, click "Add a new e-mail account", and
then click Next.
5. Select the appropriate server type for your e-mail account, and then
click Next.
6. Fill in the appropriate information as prompted, and then click Next and
Finish as needed.
7. Click the "Prompt for a profile to be used" option and click OK. This
way, you will be prompted for a profile when starting Outlook.
8. Restart Outlook and select the new profile.
If the problem does not exist in the new profile, you can refer to the
import and export section in following Microsoft Knowledge Base article to
import the data into new profile.
