Calendar search not showing recent entries

i recently did a search in my calendar for a name that would be in several
appointments that were made recently. The search shows up as -none. I went
back manually and found them. These events are within the last month. In the
past I have been able to do this. To future complicate things I did a search
on another name and it showed up all the appointments for the past two years
except this last month. Can anyone tell me what is happening?
