calendar formatting

Is there any way to get color formatting in Outlook
calendars? In the month view, the months that are gray
get hard to read when full, because multi day events are
not contrasted to the background (as they are in the
months). Is there any way to add color to text so that
certain categories of appointments stand out?

With Outlook 2003 and 2002 yes (use labels) for earlier versions no not in
the month view, you would have to change the View and add Automatic
Formatting on a field property (easiest to do is probably auto format
categories)
