There are all sorts of simple calculations that are done with the windows
calculator. I don't want to use a calculated field. If I have to split a
payment I use the calculator and copy and paste the results.

Found a list here. Can't speak to any of them, or if the links even work
. The one I usually use is based on stuff from Getz-Litwin-Gilbert's
Access Developers Handbook.

Um, silly me, but why wouldn't you?

You seriously can't think of a single situation where a user might find a
calculator useful while entering or looking at data? A calculator popup is
automatically included in all my apps.
