Hi,

when I am calculating my totals, my sum is more than what
is listed. How do I make the necessary changes to reflect
the correct sum.

Thanks for such a quick reply. However, I needed to make
myself a little more clear as to the type of numbers that
I am working with. 1st I am not using dollars and cents,
I am merely doing a head count of individuals in 1's or
2's and then doing a sum total. Please add advise.

Are all your 1's and 2's numbers?

Any chance that some are text (the cell was formatted as text before the data
entry)???

Copy an empty cell
select your range of 1's & 2's
copy|paste special|Check Addition.

This'll convert those text numbers to number numbers.
