Calculation On/Off Display?

I work with a lot of large files and I turn calculation on/off all the
time. Sometimes when I have lots of things going on at once, I forget
that I still have calculation off and often get burned. Does anyone
know if there is any way to have something displayed on the Toolbar
that says "Auto-Calculation is OFF" or "Auto-Calculation is ON".
Seems like this would be a lot more helpful than having a very
important setting buried in the Tools > Options menu. Maybe there is
a plugin or something?

It's already there ... if you have your status bar displayed.

On the left, next to "Ready", you should see "Calculate" displayed *IF*
there are calculations waiting to be completed.

Calculate will also be temporarily displayed with the calc set to "auto"
*WHILE* there is a large formula that is taking a long time to calculate.
