Calculating relationships in table

Hi!

I am trying to convert a raw data input of publications and their authors to
an output that summarizes how often the different authors have published
articles together. Could anyone please provide any help along the way on how
to do that?

Please download the example for a more detailed description of the problem.

I am using Excel 2007

trying to do.

This should be accomplished with macros. I do this for a living.
