Calculating Days worked in a month

I am trying to calculate the days worked in a month between two date
ie: started work 12-Jan and finished 18-Feb.......how many days in Ja
were worked and how many days in Feb were worked (including weekend
and public holidays)

Getting close but can't finish it off - anyone know what to do???

Hi Chris!

One way:

With 12-Jan-2004 in A1 and 18-Feb-2004 in B1

For days in January inclusive of the 12th and 31st
=DATE(YEAR(A1),MONTH(A1)+1,0)-A1+1

For days in February inclusive of 1st and 18th
=DAY(B1)

I've expressed in general terms so that the formulas may be used for
any cases of days to end of month or days from start of month.
