calculating age

Column A contains a reference date

Column B contains a year built (but just formatted as a number)

How to calculate the age at the reference date?

reported date built Age
25-May-00 1995

It depends if 1995 is taken to be the first of January

A1-(date(b1,1,1,) and format as date yy mm dd

or

(A1-(date(b1,1,1,) )/365.25
or

year(a1)-b1
