calculated queries

Is it possible to use a value calculated by a query in a second query to
perform a further calculation. e.g.
1). VATTotal:[Subtotal]*7/47
2). Total: [Subtotal]+[VATTotal]
The subtotal value has already been typed into a form.

The answer is yes, but I am not sure of your example.

You can do something like:

Select [Field1]*2 As Total From MyTable;

Select Total*1.14 As GrandTotal From Query1;
