calculate hours

How can i count hours between this two days in excel?
a1 2/8/2007 10:00 b1 2/9/2007 23:10
the sum should be 37 hours 10 min
 
One way:

=B1-A1

Format the cell with Format/Cells/Number/Custom [h]:mm
 
=B1-A1, then format Custom as [h]:mm
