To get the interval in minutes between 2 properly formatted dates/times use:-

=((B1-A1)*24)*60 where B1 is the later time.

However, I've never seen a time format like this what are the last 3 digits
meant to denote?

2007-05-20 01:42:31:593

XL times are stored as fractional days (i.e., 1 = 24 hours = 24*60
minutes), so one way:

=(B1-A1)*1440

Format as General, or another number format.
