calander control in a user form

I have a user form that has a date field (text box). I have an activeX
calander control linked to the text box and it works - somewhat. When
entering a new record, I have to clik the date on the calendar (and
sometimes it is stubborn about changing) then click in the text box to
get the date to show. How I would like for it to work is for the
default value of the text box to be the date selected on the calander,
or could I bypass the textbox altogether and link the calander directly
to the date field in the associated table?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
Try to put the calendar control in a seperate form to make it a pop up
calendar form.
On the on click event of the control you would open the new form and the
selection should set the value of this textbox.
It should work ok this way. Have a look at this good sample:

Peronsally, I'd avoid the ActiveX calendar as it has some deployment issues.
Stphen Lebans has a good one, without teh headaches.
