The ipo, or whatever it is that allows Web sites to know
you are who you are, can these be changed. Also, can
someone else modify them and or use them on their
computer? Thanks!
Your Internet service provider assigns a unique IP address to your
computer. When you go to a web site, your browser sends that IP
address so that the web site can send data back to you. No one else
can change your IP address or use your IP address.
Your IP address doesn't provide any personal information. It's just
an Internet address, similar to the street address of your house.
Knowing your IP address doesn't let anyone find out your name, street
address, E-mail address, etc.
