Cached Email Addresses?

W

Wayne Wengert

I am using Outlook 2003 in WinXP.I had an entry in my address book for
"Smith, Bob" with an email address of (e-mail address removed) and that all worked
fine. Bob changed his email address to (e-mail address removed) and I changed the
email entry in the address book. If I create a new email and click on the
"To..." I am taking to my list of addess book entries and if I scroll down
to Bob and select that, all works as it should.

But, if I open a new email and start typing the name directly into the text
box for the "To..." values when I type the letter "B" I get a list of
recent(?) addressees that started with "B" and (e-mail address removed) is at the top
of that list (and I'm careless enough not to notice!!!)

How can I clear out the cached addressees?

TIA

Wayne

Asked and answered daily at least 10 times per day.

When you are presented with an out of date address, simply use the arrow key
to select the entry and press delete.
