I got this msg and nothing would work, F8, Last Knonw..., etc. I ran repair
option but not from Recovery Console. When system rebooted after installing
the files a box came up stating virtual mem was low and the system was going
to increase virtual memory. I clicked OK (only option) and process stopped
and would not complete the repair. I've restarted the computer several times
and get same. I tried to run the repair again but it will not come up to
repair option.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Am I am correct to understand that the c000021a Stop Error report
occurred before you attemped a Repair Install from the Recovery Console?

What is the computer make and model? Is it a Desktop or a Laptop?

How large is the hard disk? Is it partitioned? How much free space
exists on the system partition?

Do you have a second comptuter? Is it a Desktop or a Laptop?

This occurs when Windows switches into kernel mode and a user-mode
subsystem, such as Winlogon or the Client Server Runtime Subsystem
(CSRSS), is compromised. Security can no longer be guaranteed. Because
Win XP can't run without Winlogon or CSRSS, this is one of the few
situations where the failure of a user-mode service can cause the system
to stop responding. This Stop message also can occur as a result of
malware infestation or when the computer is restarted after a system
administrator has modified permissions so that the SYSTEM account no
longer has adequate permissions to access system files and folders.

Doing a Google search on "c000021a" yields about 34,000 hits, many with
causes, fixes, and solutions.

It has something to do with Winlogon, CSRSS, or eggplants.
