Hello Brent,

Look at the area of the task bar where the clock is and see if you can find
the icon for avg. It looks like a little patch that is sewn over a hole in
ones clothing. If it is there, then double click on it.

The control panel for the program should pop up. Use this program to run
avg. It will use the correct command for your operating system.

If you can't find the icon, then go to your "Program Files" folder and look
for the folder named "Grisoft". Open it then open the "AVG6" folder.

Then look for the file named "avgcc32.exe". This is the control panel for
Avg.

Or, if you prefer to run the virus checker directly, look for the file
"avgw.exe" and click (or double click) on it and the virus checker will
start.

If you have tried all of this to no avail, then uninstall and reinstall the
program and see if it works then.

I hope this helps.

Peace,

Jeff (a.k.a Sky Captain (no relation to the movie, I used this handle since
3 or more years ago. :-) ))
