C:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt error messages

Hello

When i try and open Quickbooks (version 6 i think) it
displays an error message saying "C:\windows\system32
\autoexec.nt." The system file is not suitable for running
MS-DOS ans Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close'
to terminate the applicstion." (title of messagebox is: 16
bit Windows Subsystem)

I have tried to reinstall it but get the same message when
the installer starts.

Have been following the thread of the problem. Am having the same problem
when trying to install DVD burner software.

When trying the fix on "Error message when ..." (Microsoft) I get message
"No directory specified". Please explain Command.com "expand it from your
Windows XP CD-ROM". (I get this message for the config.nt, autoexec.nt and
command.com statements).
