C:\windows\Prefetch HELP PLEASE !!!!!!

I am Having shutdown problems..with long delays in
shutting off the computer,if at all it shuts off/
Does anyone know what this is and why DEVLDR stalls and
makes me wait to shutdown my computer..Even after I
hit "end NOW" it still takes along time and sometimes my
computer never turns off...
I did a search and came up with two possible leads.

1. devldr32 c:\windows\32....size 38kb application
6/5/2000 (not likely the one)

2.DEVLDR32.EXE-2CF621DF.pf C:\windows\Prefetch....size
18KB PF File 8/3/2004 !!!!!!! I think this is what is
causeing my shutdown problems.
Please any that can help me clear this up.I just got done
zeroing hard drive and renstalling all the programs ,to
have this happen..Please help!!!!
E-mail is great and i will not reply unless you tell me
its ok.
I work 12 hours a day so hard to follow post..but any
help would be greatfully apprecaited.
If in fact the problem in shutting down is a direct cause
of what I think it is above..Or something else?

Your device drivers need to be checked for updated

versions, esp. the sound card and video card drivers.
That file; devldr32.exe is a sound blaster live driver
file, so look in your device manager for problems, and
you can check in the Event Viewer for error and warning
messages related to this problem.

No - that is just a record of the pattern in which devldr32 accesses
files when it is run, so that next time the system can get all of them
loaded without waiting to be asked. Not associated with your shutdown
(though the program itself, if it is running, may be)
