c# newbie with windows events

please help..

I just wanted to write a very simple c# app, but the
event seems not to be handled (i.e. no messagebox is displayed) can you tell
what is wrong? Thanks!

You are missing this:
this.button1.Click += new System.EventHandler(this.button1_Click);
